To use the DTH hammer correctly and ensure the drilling speed and service life of the drill bit, the following points must be paid attention to:

1. Choose a DTH hammer according to rock conditions (hardness, abrasiveness) and drilling rig type (high wind pressure, low wind pressure). Different forms of alloy teeth and tooth arrangement methods are suitable for drilling different rocks. Choosing the correct DTH hammer is the prerequisite for obtaining the best use effect;

2. When installing the DTH hammer, place the drill bit into the drill sleeve of the down-the-hole impactor gently, and don't hit it hard to avoid damaging the drill bit shaft or the drill sleeve;

3. In the process of rock drilling, it is necessary to ensure that the air pressure of the down-the-hole drilling rig is sufficient. If the impactor works intermittently, or the blast hole powder is not discharged smoothly, check the compressed air system of the down-the-hole drill to ensure that there is no slag in the hole during the drilling process;

4. If a metal object is found to fall into the hole, it should be sucked out with a magnet or taken out by other methods in time to avoid damage to the drill bit;

5. Pay attention to the size of the drilled blast hole when replacing the drill bit. If the diameter of the drill bit is excessively worn, but the blast hole is not well-drilled, do not replace the drill bit to avoid sticking. Used old drill bits with roughly the same wear diameter can be used to complete the work;

6. For the DTH hammer that has early abnormal scrapping, we should notify our company in time. The content of the notice mainly includes:

1) Type of rock and construction site;

2) The model of the impactor used as a set;

3). The failure mode of the drill bit (tooth broken, tooth loss, chipping of the drill head, fracture of the drill shank, etc.);

4) The service life of the drill bit (the number of feet and meters drilled);

5) Number of failed drill bits;

6) The drill bit's footage in meters during normal use.
